Up until recently they were reporting sold to customers. BUT once again Sony had to drag down the standards and start reporting shipped numbers in an effort to put makeup on the poor move sales.

You do know that IGN, 1up, and the others just punked out and gave GT5 8 and up out of 10 scores. It was the European, and mostly British sites that were pumping out the 6 and 7 out of 10 reviews, and pretty much dishing all the dirt on how incomplete and dissappointing they felt the game was.

I agree with you to a degree, I do think this guys left out an awful lot, however, to say reviewers are being unfair to GT5 as a whole is just insane. whats odd is the only time I hear the term Maxed out used any more is if its some Sony owned developer, talking trash to hype up his game, or Sony fanboys claiming 360 is Maxed out and thus cannot hang with PS3.
Id say its because Sony dumps huge sums of money into exclusive game development, they also put a lot of extra man power into them, add that to the most likely forced collaboration between exclusive studios and you have games like Uncharted.
Having said that, ONLY Uncharted 2 looks all that great, I still dont see what all the fuss is over Killzone, it looks nice but nothing I would for a second believe could not be done on 360.

GT5 comes up short in too many areas, there is more to racing than driving in a circle around a track. I cant change my tire pressure, I cant put on lighter rims, my tire choices are limited, GT5 AI is retarded, and when I slam into a wall my performance is unaffected in GT5, that is not a sim, GT5 is an arcade racer, Forza is way more realistic.
They are grading the consoles purely on the consoles themselves and what can be played on them, can you play Splinter Cell conviction on xbox 360? yes, can you play it on PS3? NO!
This is not about exclusives, its about what games can be played on the systems overall, and the quality of them along with the quality of the console experience on each platform.
When you judge it that way you can see how PS3 starts to come up short. I cant play Left4dead, Splnter...
